Edward Stolar, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Metroderm DC: Medical, Laser, and Aesthetic Dermatology Center, serving patients in Washington, DC, and the surrounding areas.
A native Washingtonian, Dr. Stolar attended the University of Rochester in Monroe County, New York, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in biology and English. He completed both his medical degree and dermatology training at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. His training in cosmetic dermatology began during his residency with collagen fillers, facial rejuvenation, and acne scar treatment. Dr. Stolar is also an award-winning artist who uses his aesthetic background in his approach to cosmetic treatments.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and active in the Medical Society of the District of Columbia. Dr. Stolar is also a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and the Board of National Medical Examiners. Dr. Stolar is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at George Washington University and a senior attending physician at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He has been selected as a “Top Doctor” in the Washingtonian, Washington Checkbook, and the Washington Post “Super Doctors.”
He previously worked as a consultant and volunteer at Whitman-Walker Health with special expertise in HIV dermatology. Dr. Stolar served as chairman of the Professional Standards Committee of the Medical Society of the District of Columbia for many years.
